New Delhi: The Indian Media Foundation (BMF) has announced a major campaign against the spread of fake news in print, electronic, and digital media, and against those who aim to create confusion in society. In a statement issued from its national office in New Delhi, A.K. Bindusar, founder of BMF and chief convenor of the International Media Army, expressed serious concern over this issue.
Bindusar clearly stated that over the past 8 years, the Indian Media Foundation has established a strong relationship between print, electronic, and digital media. He believes that a conspiracy is underway to break this established bond, with some antisocial elements spreading false information through fake newspapers and other mediums, thereby creating confusion among the public.
He also suspected that opposition parties might be behind these activities, attempting to incite journalists and social workers against the ruling party. Bindusar further indicated that black marketeers such as land mafia, sand mining mafia, soil mining mafia, illegal drug traffickers (cannabis, charas, heroin), alcohol smugglers, cow slaughtering gangs, and corruption-involved groups could also be involved. He emphasized the need to understand that if the ongoing campaign against these groups is halted even for a single day, they could gain immense financial benefits, potentially running into crores of rupees. He described the entire matter as a subject requiring thorough investigation.
The Indian Media Foundation has appealed to all journalists (associated with print, electronic, and digital media) and social workers across the country not to pay any attention to such misleading news. BMF has urged all those fighting against corruption that if they come across any such fake news, they should immediately inform the Indian Media Foundation on their helpline number 7275850466.
This step demonstrates BMF’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of journalism and curbing the spread of misinformation in society. The foundation’s goal is for conscious citizens and journalists across the country to join this initiative, ensuring that only true and factual information reaches the public.
