Monthly District-Level Meetings of Indian Media Foundation Now Mandatory

Report: Nishkant शर्मा

New Delhi, May 26, 2025
– The Indian Media Foundation (BMF) has taken a significant step towards strengthening its organization at the grassroots level. During a successful online Zoom meeting held by the National Core Committee on May 25, 2025, several important decisions were made. The most prominent among them is that all district-level meetings will now be held mandatorily every month.
Key Decision to Strengthen the Organization
During the BMF’s online meeting, it was clarified that the foundation of the organization lies in its district committees. It is through these committees that the organization’s objectives and policies reach the ground level. Keeping this in mind, it was decided that district-level meetings will be held on the first Sunday of every month. The timing of these meetings will be determined by the respective district committee, based on their convenience and local circumstances, ensuring maximum participation.
Strict Directive from the Central Disciplinary Committee
Shri Ram Asre, the Central President of the Central Disciplinary Committee of the Indian Media Foundation, has issued clear and strict directives regarding these meetings. He emphasized that these monthly meetings must be organized under all circumstances. Shri Ram Asre believes that regular meetings will establish better coordination within the organization, facilitate a healthy exchange of ideas among members, and effectively convey grassroots challenges and suggestions to the central leadership.
He further instructed that in districts where Mandal Committee, State Committee, or National Committee media officials reside, it is their responsibility to collaborate with the district committee to successfully organize these meetings. Furthermore, all important decisions made in these meetings must be promptly sent to the Central Disciplinary Committee. This will ensure a consistent vision and operational framework throughout the entire organization.
A Step Towards Nationwide Activity
This initiative is a major step towards making the BMF more active and empowered at the national level. These monthly district-level meetings will not only help disseminate the organization’s objectives to the wider public but also provide an opportunity for members working at the grassroots to voice their opinions. It is hoped that this decision will make the Indian Media Foundation more organized, effective, and dynamic, thereby contributing to positive changes in the media sector of the country.
