Karan Chhokar, the Central President of the Central Policy Making Supreme Committee of the Indian Media Foundation, strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that it is a blatant act against humanity. He emphasized that the response should not be political but strategic, aimed at eliminating terrorism.
He asserted that terrorism and corruption are two such cankers that hollow out any nation and society from within. They have no religion or creed; they are enemies of humanity. They are symbols of darkness and destruction, shedding the blood of innocents and obstructing the progress of society.
Terrorism, with its barbarity and violence, creates an atmosphere of fear. It not only causes loss of life and property but also digs a chasm of distrust and division in society. On the other hand, corruption loots the resources of the country, slows down the pace of development, and deprives the common man of his rights. It gives rise to injustice and inequality in the system.
It is crucial to understand that terrorism and corruption are not problems of any single community or class. They are enemies of humanity, and the entire nation must unite to fight against them. We must rise above our individual, social, and national identities to form a strong front against this common enemy.
To fight these enemies of humanity and eradicate them from the root, it is mandatory and necessary for every citizen of the country to be Active. Inactivity and indifference only strengthen them. We must raise our voice against them, thwart their nefarious intentions, and create an environment where they have no place.
